Medico-Legal Experience

Mr Nadir Osman is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and trained expert witness. He has completed Bond Solon training and is accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mr Osman is instructed by both claimants and defendants, and he accepts instructions for cases relating to clinical negligence, personal injury, condition and prognosis, liability, and causation.

Mr Osman began his work as a medicolegal expert in 2020, and has completed a variety of reports covering all aspects of urology, including, but not limited to, complex incontinence, vasectomy, erectile dysfunction, cystoscopy, and bladder Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs). He has particular specialist knowledge of urethral strictures and refractory bladder problems, and he has completed many reports covering these topics.

Mr Osman has worked both privately and within the NHS, amassing invaluable experience in the field of Urology. He is known for his balanced, forensic, and evidentiary approach to his report writing and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules Part 35.

He has been summoned to court on several occasions and has provided oral evidence.

Mr Osman’s appointment availability is 2-4 weeks and has a report turnaround time of 8-10 weeks.

Clinical Experience

Mr Nadir Osman is currently a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a specialist interest in reconstructive urology at The Sheffield Teaching Hospital. He completed his medical studies at the University of Liverpool, graduating with honours, and undertook specialist training in urology in Merseyside and Yorkshire between 2010 and 2018.

The last two years of his training were exclusively in reconstruction. This was followed by focused training in vaginal reconstruction. He has since undertaken research into tissue engineering for pelvic floor disorders, which led to the award of a PhD in 2014.

In 2019, he was selected as one of only 3 urologists across Europe for the prestigious EAU-AUA academic exchange program, during which he visited centres across the USA to further his expertise.

He is a member of The British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) and The European Association of Urology (EAU).
