Meet Sarah Massa Our Client Relationship Manager She/Her

As Client Relationship Manager, I’m here to facilitate the growth of the Expert Witnesses on our panel, as well as to recruit new and seasoned Experts to work alongside us in partnership. My role is to build relationships with Instructing Party solicitors and give them something innovative which makes MLAS the ‘go-to’ for Expert Witnesses. It is my job to grant solicitors direct access to specialty areas of expertise, in niche locations, making it easier for them to instruct their expert of choice.

My unique skill is juggling plates. With many experts comes a vast array of knowledge. Each Expert is clinically fantastic in their own right, but understanding their availability, sub-speciality areas, assessment locations, fee ranges, etc. is equally important. The selection of the most suitable expert for the instructing parties is made with informed consideration…It’s like Expert Tetris!

Fun fact: I’m not too bad on the old karaoke, although some may beg to differ 😊

Meet Kerith Hirst Our Client Operations Manager She/Her

My main responsibilities are to orchestrate the day-to-day operations of the Customer Success Team, ensuring seamless and exceptional support for our valued Experts. I thrive on streamlining workflows and proactively identifying roadblocks, enabling the team to effortlessly navigate any challenge.

My unique strength is possessing a keen eye to see operational gaps and strategic foresight, allowing me to guide the team towards efficient and fulfilling workflows.

Fun Fact: I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia

Meet Gavin Rimmer Our Managing Director He/Him

In my role as Managing Director, I am primarily responsible for ensuring the business's performance and continued growth, as well as maintaining a duty of care to all my colleagues.

One unique skill I bring to the table is that I am good in the bar! I enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere and serving others in this capacity.

What truly ignites my passion is the opportunity to meet and engage with people, whether they're part of our business or our customers. I find great joy in learning about what motivates and inspires people.

Fun Fact: I once aspired to become a fighter pilot, but unfortunately, my dreams were grounded due to my poor eyesight!

Meet Rachael Wilson Our Commercial Team Leader She/Her

As Commercial Team Leader, I work closely with our Client Relationship Manager to lead our internal team through regular one-to-ones, comprehensive training, and daily mentorship. My objective is to ensure we consistently meet and exceed SLAs and KPIs, setting the stage for long-term success.

I am passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and fostering clear communication across all levels. My focus extends beyond that, encompassing strategic planning, proactive foresight, and expert team management to drive continuous improvement.

An interesting fact is that I find balance beyond work by volunteering as the Chairperson, Secretary, and Welfare Officer for my son’s U12’s football team – just another example of my dedication to teamwork and building positive relationships!

Meet Ayden Norfolk Our Senior Team Leader He/Him

My days are all about keeping things running smoothly for our Team Leaders and the Customer Success Team. I tackle everyday challenges so we can provide our Experts with an excellent service and the operation continues to run efficiently. What fuels me is seeing the team’s motivation to help each other, support one another, and build strong relationships with our Experts.

Meet Melissa Hammonds Our Team Leader She/Her

As Team Leader at MLAS, my duty is to manage and support my team of Expert Assistants with their day-to-day tasks, ensuring that we continue to provide a five-star service to our incredible panel of Experts.

A unique skill of mine is that I am adaptable and can move around the business to help support areas which may need additional assistance.

Fun Fact: I read 119 books in 6 months.

Meet Jess Harrison Our Team Leader She/Her

I help support a group of Expert Assistants deliver a comprehensive service from start to finish. From document organisation and appointment arrangement, to helping finalise reports. The fuel that keeps me going is knowing the impact our work has on people’s lives. It’s incredibly motivating to be part of something that makes a difference.

My unique skill is that I am able to solve most report formatting issues, and I’m often the first person colleagues turn to when they need a formatting issue resolved.

Fun Fact: I am irrationally terrified of whales, they don't need to be that big!

Meet Thomas Heppenstall Our IT Manager He/Him

My responsibilities include the management, implementation, and deployment of any new computer systems across the company. I oversee all computer-related duties, problems, and solutions, whilst supervising a fantastic team of IT specialists. I work closely with the rest of the team to ensure the most up-to-date technology is being used, ensuring that all hardware and software is compatible, secure, and scalable.

Fun Fact: I currently own a number of games console ranging from The Magnavox Odyssey, SEGA Megadrive, Xbox to PS5.

Meet Dan Stowers Our Marketing Manager He/Him

At MLAS, marketing is more than emails and social media. Sure, we create those scroll-stopping images, but you’re more likely to find us on the road at our brilliant Meet & Mingle events with a camera in hand – or liaising with Expert Witnesses to support their business growth.

My unique skill is bringing together the best and brightest minds in our industry to network and explore new opportunities. Events are a melting pot of ideas, and the place where we improve our collective knowledge. Watch this space as we ramp up our events to new heights into 2024 and beyond!
