Mr Shoukrey is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, serving as both Obstetric Risk Management Lead Consultant and Minimal Access Gynaecological Surgery Lead Consultant within his NHS Trust. He holds the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Certificate, having successfully completed advanced training in Excellence in Report Writing, Cross-Examination, Courtroom Skills, and Civil Law and Procedure.
He has acted as an independent medical expert in a wide range of civil proceedings for both claimant and defendant solicitors, as well as in Family Court and Coroner’s Court matters. His expert work encompasses clinical negligence, coronial investigations, child protection, and safeguarding cases involving obstetric and gynaecological care.
Mr Shoukrey has provided oral evidence in Court on numerous occasions and is fully conversant with the Civil Procedure Rules (Part 35) and the professional responsibilities of an expert witness. In his capacity as Obstetric Risk Management Lead Consultant, he has undertaken and led root cause analyses, serious incident investigations, and child death reviews, providing expert recommendations to improve patient safety and clinical governance. His medico-legal expertise is supported by his extensive practical experience in high-risk obstetrics, complex pregnancy management, and gynaecological surgery.
