Clinical Experience

Dr Logan is a Consultant with 24 years’ experience in the Countess of Chester NHS Trust, now exclusively engaged in private practice and medico-legal reporting. His expertise lies in anaesthetics, pain management, chronic and neuropathic pain, with a particular focus on adult pain relief, rehabilitation for painful conditions and fibromyalgia.

His professional involvement encompasses the comprehensive assessment and treatment of patients with long-term pain or acute exacerbations of pain.

Dr Logan is renowned for his holistic approach to pain management, offering multidisciplinary pain management programs and tailored long-term treatment plans for complex chronic pain conditions that may not respond to conventional therapies. He employs various modalities of pain relief, including transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF), percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (PENS), pulsed radiofrequency treatments and advanced interventional techniques like spinal cord stimulation.

Dr Logan operates his own fully equipped unit, which is soon to receive CQC approval. He also oversees a team of professionals and collaborates with several private hospitals. While he maintains a broad scope of practice, he prefers to avoid highly specialised and serious psychological issues, considering himself a “general interventionist”.

Dr Logan is also engaged in another healthcare venture serving the NHS, acting as a shareholder and advisor.
