Medical & Legal Admin Services (MLAS) hosted another successful Meet & Mingle event with 9 St John Street Chambers on Wednesday, March 20th, at the latter’s headquarters in Manchester. The event brought together expert witnesses, barristers, solicitors, instructing parties, and colleagues from medical reporting organisations (MROs) for an evening of insightful discussions centred around paediatric patients and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

John Kitchen: A Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon with extensive experience in all aspects of the field. Mr. Kitchen specialises in neuro-oncology, particularly brain and spinal tumours in children. He is also highly regarded for his expertise in paediatric epilepsy surgery. Importantly, John has extensive experience in treating and operating on children that have suffered traumatic brain injuries related to birth, accidents and non-accidental causes. He was able to offer a unique perspective on the challenges and treatments associated with paediatric traumatic brain injury.
Ian Little: 9 St John Street Barrister practicing exclusively for claimants in personal injury and associated inquests. Mr. Little’s experience spans various courts, including the Supreme Court, and he has represented clients in cases arising from road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, and other negligent acts. His focus lies on life-changing injuries, including catastrophic brain injuries in children. Mr. Little’s extensive experience provided a legal perspective on the complexities of navigating these situations.
