Mr Ash Khurana has been an expert witness for over 12 years, also holding a Master’s Degree in Law. He accepts instructions from both claimants and defendants and is happy to opine on breach of duty, condition and prognosis, causation, liability, and personal injury cases.

Mr Khurana has completed reports covering the full breadth of spinal surgery, including, but not limited to, the management of Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD), metastatic spinal tumours, spinal stenosis, sciatica, and Cauda Equina Syndrome (CES). He has particular specialist knowledge in cervical spinal fusion and complex degenerative spinal surgery, and has completed many reports covering these topics.

Mr Khurana’s extensive experience within the NHS, paired with his knowledge of the law, places him as a sought after expert for opinion on complex spinal cases. He is known for his timely responses and detailed and evidence-based reporting style.

Mr Khurana has supplied evidence in court on 2 occasions and continues to be available to provide oral evidence in court when required.

Clinical Experience

Mr Khurana has completed an MSc in Orthopaedic Engineering at Cardiff University and uses a deeper understanding of mechanical principles in treating patients. After Mr Khurana completed his accredited fellowship at the prestigious Spinal Unit in Queen’s Medical Centre, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of spinal management, particularly in spinal deformity, metastatic spinal pathology, and microscopic and minimally invasive surgery.

He furthered his knowledge by training with spinal neurosurgeons, increasing his understanding of the spinal pathology from both an orthopaedic and neurosurgical perspective.

Mr Khurana was awarded a travelling Fellowship to the world-renowned Spinal Unit at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong.
