Mr Edmondson is an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist and medico-legal expert, with over two decades of clinical practice across the NHS, private healthcare and elite sport. He qualified from the University of Salford in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy, having previously completed a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science.

Mr Edmondson began his clinical career at Burnley General Hospital (East Lancashire NHS Trust), gaining broad foundational experience in neurological, respiratory and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. From there, he progressed rapidly into senior roles within professional sport, including positions as Head of Academy Medical at Burnley Football Club, Head of Medical at Luton Town Football Club and Lead Physiotherapist at Rossendale Rugby Club. Between 2002 and 2008, he also provided specialist musculoskeletal care to professional athletes through his private practice in Lancashire, working in close collaboration with orthopaedic and neurosurgical teams.

Recognised for his advanced clinical reasoning and rehabilitation expertise, he has held a series of  senior leadership roles. These include Clinical Lead at Bupa, where he designed and implemented a remote assessment and triage service, Senior Extended Scope Practitioner at InHealth and Regional Lead at Pure Unity Health Group, overseeing the First Contact Practitioner (FCP) service across NHS contracts Mr Edmondson has a strong grounding in the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Professional Standards and Conduct, he frequently applies this knowledge to assess, support and improve clinical governance and practice standards across multidisciplinary teams.

In addition to his clinical and leadership work, he is a published author and educator. He contributed to In Touch MSK Journal in 2011 with a case study on “Atraumatic Shoulder Instability,
” reflecting evolving best practice in rehabilitation strategies. In 2025, he authored two books for Independent Publishing focusing on Menopause and Embracing the Ageing Process, highlighting his interest in holistic, lifespan-oriented physiotherapy care.
