Medico-Legal Experience

Mr Sachin Malde is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and has been an expert witness since 2024. He completed Bond Solon training, furthering his knowledge on court-room skills and report writing, and has developed a comprehensive understanding of the civil procedure rules. He is also a member of the UK Register of Expert Witnesses and the Medicolegal Society.

Mr Malde accepts instructions from both claimants and defendants, and can opine on cases relating to breach of duty, causation, condition and prognosis, liability, personal injury, and clinical negligence. He has reported on a variety of cases covering the full breadth of urology, including, but not limited to, neuro-urology, vaginal mesh complications, bladder and prostate cancer, and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).

He has particular specialist knowledge in chronic urinary tract infections (UTIs), bladder and prostate disease, and incontinence surgery. He also has considerable experience in assessing serious incidents, performing root-cause analyses, and medico-legal reporting in his role as Clinical Governance Lead at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital.

He is available to provide oral evidence in court when required.

Clinical Experience

Mr Sachin Malde is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. He qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in London in 2006, and completed his postgraduate research into the evaluation of men with incontinence after prostate surgery at University College London, for which he won the Gold medal for outstanding research.

He underwent specialist fellowship training in female urology, functional, neuro-urology, and reconstructive urology at the University College Hospital in London, and now leads this specialist service in one of the largest urology departments in the UK.

He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and is a panel member of the European Association of Urology Guidelines in Urology. He is also an undergraduate and postgraduate tutor in urology for King’s College London Medical School and the London Deanery Urology trainees.
