Dr Arvind Gupta is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist whose expert opinion is regularly sought in complex medico-legal cases across a broad range of legal domains, including criminal law, family law, immigration and asylum, employment law, personal injury and psychological trauma, public law, and Mental Health Act matters.
Dr Gupta has developed particular clinical and medico-legal expertise in the assessment and management of adult ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and personality disorders, and he has completed many reports on these topics.
He accepts instructions from both claimants and defendants for cases relating to personal injury, clinical negligence, breach of duty, causation, liability, and condition and prognosis.
Dr Gupta is Bond Solon trained and regularly attends medicolegal courses to ensure he maintains compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules. During his time as an expert witness, he has provided testimony in court several times and is well-versed in Courtroom protocol and procedure. He is available to provide oral evidence in Court when required.

Dr Gupta is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 24 years of extensive clinical experience in adult mental health. He is currently employed by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.
He has a special interest in teaching and training medical and non-medical staff. He provides educational and clinical supervision to ST and CT trainees in psychiatry, speciality grade doctors, approved nurse practitioners, GP trainees, and 4th year medical students. He was also the Designated Medical Practitioner for Clinical Pharmacist at New Craigs Hospital in 2017.
Dr Gupta delivers psychoeducation that explains a clear understanding of the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) on the development of deeply ingrained maladaptive traits that result in a constellation of symptoms that are characteristic of personality disorder.
He qualified and obtained his Diploma in Psychological Medicine in India, and he completed
CCST in General Adult Psychiatry in the Medical Royal Colleges of the UK. He has also been approved under Section 12 (2), and he has an Approved Clinical Status under The Mental Health Act 1983.
