Medico-Legal Experience

Dr Mishra is a Consultant Urologist that holds strong expertise in general urology, prostate surgery, bladder surgery, incontinence surgery, penoscrotal surgery, urological injuries and neuro-urology.

He has produced reports for patients’ complaints for NHS employers, legal teams and has often been complimented for his systematic, clear and succinct comprehensive reports.

Dr Mishra is familiar with The Civil Procedure Rules 1998, he has undergone training in the principles of the Bolam Test (England and Wales) modified by Bolitho (England), Hunter (Scotland) and Montgomery. He is currently enrolled in the Medical Expert Witness by Inspire MediLaw & Strathclyde University studying towards a University Medical Expert Witness Certification Course.

Clinical Experience

Dr Mishra is a Consultant Urologist for 15 years, he is currently the Clinical Lead for Lower Urinary Tract Services with the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Mishra is heavily involved in education and research and he serves the UCL Medical School as the lead for undergraduate urology teaching. He firmly believes the practice of medicine is a blend of art and science, and he treats his patients with sensitivity and care. He is an active clinical researcher and is a principal investigator for multicentre trials. He also sits on the panel of examiners for MBBS.

He qualified and obtained his Masters in General Surgery in India prior to completing a six year rotation urology in London and the last two years as a fellow in Female, Functional and Reconstructive Urology at the Institute of Urology at London.

Dr Mishra has published papers in peer-reviewed journals that have been presented nationally and internationally. He has written book chapters and has been the principal of multi-centre research projects, including HIVEC II on hyperthermia and Mitomycin C for superficial bladder cancer and UPSTREAM trial on the utility of urodynamics in the assessment of lower urinary tract symptoms.
