Clinical Experience

Miss Donley is an accomplished Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with extensive clinical experience across acute, community, and specialist mental health services. Throughout her career she has worked with individuals facing a wide range of psychiatric conditions, from acute crises to long-term complex mental health needs.

Known for her compassionate approach and strong clinical judgement, Miss Donley has established a reputation for delivering safe, evidence-based care within fast-paced and challenging environments.

Her outstanding skills include significant experience in acute adult inpatient care, where she has been responsible for the assessment, stabilisation, and ongoing management of individuals presenting with psychosis, severe depression, bipolar disorder and high-risk behaviours. She has also worked within Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), providing holistic assessments, risk management, crisis intervention and collaborative recovery-focused care planning. Also having worked with patients under the Ministry of Justice, including a year in a forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) medium secure unit, where she managed and assessed high-risk young people using structured risk assessment tools and multi-agency planning.

Miss Donley’s expertise extends to high-acuity settings, including psychiatric intensive care, where she has developed advanced skills in de-escalation, observation level management and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams. She is also proficient in areas such as safeguarding, medication management, capacity assessments, and the application of both the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA).
