Medico-Legal Experience

Mr John Gillooly has been preparing reports since 2011 and currently has produced 250 personal injury reports per year. He also undertakes clinical negligence work in cases involving shoulder pathology or surgery and is happy to attend conferences and court.

Mr John Gillooly prides himself on providing impartial, analytical and logical opinion, based on the latest evidence. He has formal training from Bond Solon and regularly attend medicolegal conferences organised by the British Orthopaedic Association. All reports are prepared to the guidelines introduced by the Law Society and conform to Lord Woolf’s reforms.

Clinical Experience

Mr John Gillooly has serves at Emerson’s Green NHS Treatment Centre since 2019. Additionally, he holds the positions of Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Great Western Hospital since 2017.

He has extensively trained from some of the most prestigious institutions in the world. Mr John Gillooly qualified in Medicine at Trinity College in Dublin and was awarded Masters’ Degrees in Sports Medicine and in Healthcare Policy and Management.

After his general medical training he moved to Hawaii to train as a trauma surgeon. Where he worked as the main trauma centre for the US military forces station at Pearl Harbour and throughout the South Pacific. He moved back to the UK to continue his training in leading orthopaedic centres in London, Cheltenham, Swindon and Bristol.

Mr John Gillooly strongly favours a holistic ‘whole person care’ approach towards recovery, this includes looking at all aspects that may impact your health, diet and nutrition, posture, your ability to exercise and your conditions at work.
