Dr Binsale is a Principal Clinical Psychologist and an Expert Witness, with over seven years of experience providing comprehensive medico legal opinion and psychological assessment in both clinical negligence and personal injury matters. She has prepared in excess of 50 expert reports, instructed by claimants and defendants, and is recognised by her balanced, evidence-based, and well-reasoned opinions.
Her medico-legal practice encompasses opinion on causation, condition and prognosis, breach of duty, and liability, integrating clinical formulation, psychometric assessment, and critical review of medical evidence. Dr Binsale specialises in psychological trauma and complex mental health difficulties, with particular expertise in women’s health and functional gastrointestinal disorders. This includes work involving traumatic birth experiences, perinatal and gynaecological trauma, and the psychological sequelae of inflammatory or structural gastrointestinal conditions.
Over the past seven years, Dr Binsale has been instructed to provide expert opinion in a wide range of complex cases, including Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), psychological injury arising from surgical complications, and the psychological impact of delayed diagnosis and medical negligence, such as periodontitis resulting in tooth loss and delays in diagnosing cancers. Her work also extends to cases involving occupational stress, trauma following road traffic or workplace accidents, and the psychological effects of visible or permanent scarring.
