She has prepared in excess of 50 expert reports, instructed by claimants and defendants, and is recognised by her balanced, evidence-based, and well-reasoned opinions.
Her medico-legal practice encompasses opinion on causation, condition and prognosis, breach of duty, and liability, integrating clinical formulation, psychometric assessment, and critical review of medical evidence. Dr Binsale specialises in psychological trauma and complex mental health difficulties, with particular expertise in women’s health and functional gastrointestinal disorders. This includes work involving traumatic birth experiences, perinatal and gynaecological trauma, and the psychological sequelae of inflammatory or structural gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr Binsale is a Principal Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience working within the NHS and private practice settings. She has been employed by the NHS since 2013 and currently holds a senior post at the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in addition to providing independent psychological services through private practice.
In her current NHS role, Dr Binsale provides specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for adults experiencing psychological distress associated with complex physical health conditions, including inflammatory and functional gastrointestinal disorders and post-surgical adjustment.
