Medico Legal Experience

Mr Victor Ameh is a Consultant in Accident and Emergency Medicine and has been an Expert Witness since 2009. He has completed Bond Solon training and is instructed in personal injury, clinical negligence and criminal cases by Claimants, Defendants and joint instructions. He also has experience with appearing in court and prison visits.

Mr Ameh has extensive experience in cases associated with:

Personal injury relating to:

  • Trauma (multi-regional soft tissue injury)

  • Whiplash associated disorders

Clinical negligence relating to:

  • Missed/delayed diagnosis/management of:
    • Fracture
    • Sepsis
    • Significant soft tissue infections
    • Cauda equina syndrome
    • Appendicitis
    • Acute coronary syndrome/heart attack
    • Stroke
    • Subarachnoid haemorrhage
  • Resuscitation
  • Care for critically ill
  • Advanced life support

Mr Ameh’s availability is 2-3 weeks and has a report turnaround time of 3-4 weeks.

Clinical Experience

Currently a Consultant in Accident and Emergency Medicine at The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Mr Ameh is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester Medical School and Edge Hill University.

Mr Ameh graduated in 1990 from the University of Ibadan Medical College, he then completed his postgraduate Fellowship in Surgery in 2000 at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2009, Mr Ameh completed his postgraduate Fellowship in Accident and Emergency Medicine at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Emergency Medicine.

Furthermore, Mr Ameh is a Clinical and Educational Supervisor to Medical Students, Foundation Doctors, GP Trainees, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Specialist Registrars. He is also an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Instructor.
